The Weeknd Announces First-Leg of World Tour With Doja Cat

After the global pandemic successfully put a halt to two world tours, The Weeknd fans finally have something to celebrate. The Blinding Lights star has announced the first dates of his world tour, along with super star Doja Cat, kicking off the first of 17 dates in North America with a show on 8th July in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.

The tour will give fans a chance to see The Weeknd perform his new material from the recently released critically acclaimed record “Dawn FM”. His “After Hours” tracks will be sure to feature, allowing fans to experience the performances that they might have missed from the cancelled shows of the past two years.

They’ll be well rewarded with a show they’ll never forget, with rap star Doja Cat also supporting The Weeknd on the North American dates. Although she might have been around for many years, it’s fair to say the “Say So” artist has shot to fame since 2020 and fans will be keen to see her perform. But if you can’t get to the North American dates of the tour then do not despair. This is only the first leg of the tour, with The Weeknd expected to hit the road and visit South America, Mexico, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Impressively, The Weeknd is also using the significant demand for his tour to raise money for the less fortunate across the world. He’s partnered with the UN World Food Program to launch the XO Humanitarian fund, with the artist initially donating a $500,000 lump sum. $1 from the sale of each individual ticket will also be added to the fund, so fans can see one of the biggest acts on the planet whilst doing their bit for charity.

After a bleak couple of years without any gigs to look forward to, it looks like The Weeknd is going to leave no stone unturned on this world tour.
