Mathew Knowles, LaTavia Roberson & Wyclef Jean Speak on the Formation of Destiny’s Child

It’s been 20 years since the debut of one of the most iconic female groups of all time, so in honor of this legendary group, LaTavia Roberson sat down with Kemi Alemoru of DAZED to speak on the formation and legacy of the band as well as the making of No No No.

“One day we were going to pick Solange up from school, she was in middle school at the time then we heard ‘No, No, No’ on the radio. Solange ran out screaming ‘Oh my God! My sisters are on the radio!’” – LaTavia Roberson

This trip down memory lane didn’t just consist of the former bandmate, LaTavia Roberson. Beyonce’s father and former manager of the Say My Name group, Mathew Knowles as well as Wyclef Jean took part in the feature offering their pieces of nostalgia.

“When you look today, nobody has filled the Destiny’s Child shoes yet. It’s like a void. They had consistency, hard work.” – Wyflec Jean
