LOVE, HEARTBREAK AND PERREO: Piso 21 Drops New Album, “777,” Connecting with Fans Deeper Than Before

Last Thursday, we had the great privilege of being with PISO 21 and talking about their new album 777; They have always managed to connect with their fans through their lyrics, and this time the album comes with even more profound and mature lyrics that will identify us in many situations; We can easily describe 777 in 3 words LOVE, HEARTBREAK AND PERREO and this gives it a special touch because in addition to getting us to dance, enjoy and enjoy we also have songs that touch us to the last fibers of the heart.

During these months, they have been advancing some of their songs, like “Los cachos” with Manuel Turizo, which has become a hymn among women. Another one that is undoubtedly one of my favorites from this album is “QUE TRISTE!” along with Carin Leon, which is one of those songs that touches the deepest part of you. All this success has been organic because they have bet on love. Whether you win or lose, love will always be the best option.

We have great collaborations on this album and world-class collaborations such as Manuel Turizo, Carin Leon, Danny Ocean, Gigolo y la Exce, Sta Fe Klan and Ñejo. At the production level, we also have La Crème, Sky Rompiendo, SUBELO NEO, Mr. NaisGai, and Eydren, among others. All of them have put a unique touch on this album since they let themselves be carried away by the magic, the fun and the moment in which they were creating the songs since, for them, there is no step by step to create a song.

PISO 21 has been characterized by being a very versatile group and not just fitting into one genre. That’s why we have seen them also moving through pop and Mexican music, and they also like to have influences from different sounds, such as neo-punk, in their rhythms. The song “Mató mi corazón,” also in “Elevarte,” we have a bit of reggaeton and pop rock. In “Los Borrachos no mienten,” they combine a bit of danceable 80s pop, plus one of the collaborations they have been talking about for a long time is with Danny Ocean, and that’s why “Felices Perdidos” is given, a song that is for real love, this group has the ability to combine the urban with merengue and make it a hit like they do in “Nadie la controla,” among other songs that have their charm, inspiration and influences.

777 is a post-pandemic album whose concept is to bet on love. The sum of 7+7+7 is 21, which is why it is a magical and winning number. Their song 777 is very special for them because they freely express their thoughts and emotions, and we also have the opportunity to hear El Profe’s voice for the first time. This album has all the power to transmit to connect because it is already a winning album.

We hope you enjoy this album as much as The Contrast Magazine family has enjoyed it, and we know wonderful things will continue to come for PISO 21.
