Kate Stewart Gears Up For New Women Empowerment Focused Single ‘Hate You’

London-based singer and songwriter, Kate Stewart has been gearing up for the debut of her latest single “Hate You.” The women’s empowerment anthem released on the most commercially love-stricken holidays, Valentine’s Day. The transition to the American market from the U.K. is refreshing for Stewart. She is excited for the journey this hit is guaranteed to take her and her viewers on.

Originally, Kate is from London and would consider it the “most amazing experience”. She thoroughly enjoyed the city, home to Big Ben, but found it quite challenging to sustain a music career. This is because she has an adoration for R&B and is committed to providing the best quality to listeners all over the world. The lesson forced her to move her music to the states, but she couldn’t be happier with the chance to plant a seed in American soil. It has taken 8 years to find her sound and she is determined to take her seat at the table.

“Hate You” being released on Valentine’s Day was a deliberate decision by Stewart. The visual to the single was inspired by Jessica Rabbit’s “Why Don’t You Do Right?” where men fawn over the character, but she lacks interest in any of them. Kate and her creative director, Betsey Johnson found that they wanted to incorporate the Me Too movement into this concept. While manufacturing a darker tone, they are still looking to deliver the message of, a woman always has the strength to take her power back.

Over the course of her career, she has worked with many other talented peers including Jeff Gitelman and Swagg R’Celious. These experiences have humbled the creator as she is appreciative of every opportunity she was given. The fitness enthusiast also has an EP being released “You Had To Be There” early this year that is sure to show off her mellow vocals. Kate is looking forward to more live performances to connect with her fans and the release of said EP. Her progress can be followed on social media and her music is available on all digital platforms.
