Hollywood Starlet, Adriana Camposano, Talks Playing a Young Aubrey Plaza in ‘Olga Dies Dreaming’

Adriana Camposano may be a younger face in the industry, but she is not green by any means. The budding actress has starred in roles such as Lucy Diaz on Orange is the New Black and has modeled for big brand companies. Producers have already seen quite a promising future for the young entertainer and are thrilled to book her for their upcoming projects as well. Camposano is set on taking on Hollywood while remaining connected to her Latina roots. Her foot is in the door and she is prepared to squeeze her way through.

The 16-year-old starlet comes from the land of beautiful beaches, New Jersey. A diamond hidden in the sand, she couldn’t be hidden from recruiters for long. Adriana was featured in high campaigns for Macy’s, Target, and Payless. She has also been seen in Just Jared Jr. and Girl’s Life Magazine as a main highlight. In the near future, Adriana is scheduled to debut in top magazine, Bella Latina Magazine as a fresh Latina face to watch out for.

Camposano is more than happy to partake in Latin branding, as she is very proud of her roots. She takes every opportunity to share her culture and inspire others in her diverse Latin community in always shooting for their dreams. She gets to showcase this in her upcoming project “Olga Dies Dreaming” where she plays a young Aubrey Plaza. The chance to show Plaza’s quirky personality is exciting for Adriana and she looks forward to being seen in this different portrayal.

In her spare time, Adriana loves to roller skate, dance to the latest hits, and photograph the beauty of the world. She may be carefree in her spare time, but she is often drawn to roles that have an intensity to them in dramatic settings. Camposano has referenced the characters of Eleven from “Stranger Things” and Elena Gilbert from “The Vampire Diaries”. She is open to learning and growing from every set as she knows she has just gotten started. In 10 years, Adriana Camposano hopes to establish herself as a household name with a long list of notable film credits.

Fresh-faced actress of notorious shows such as Orange is the New Black and Chicken Girls, Adriana Camposano is making a name for herself in Hollywood.

What is unique about playing a younger Aubrey Plaza in “Olga Dies Dreaming?” Something unique about playing a younger Aubrey Plaza in “Olga Dies Dreaming” is I get to bring out parts of her that we all love. We all love Aubrey Plaza for her unique style of acting and personality, and getting to bring those traits out is so amazing!

Why is representation for the LatinX community important for you? Representation for the LatinX community is so important to me because I get to express and represent myself as well as all the other amazing girls part of this culture! It’s so special to be able to share this part of my identity out and hopefully I’m able to inspire others through this representation!

Are there any certain types of roles that draw your attention? I am certainly drawn to roles that have more intense and dramatic characteristics to them. Some character that I would love to play would be Eleven from Stranger things, Alison DiLaurentis from Pretty Little Liars, and Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries!

What do you hope for yourself 10 years down the line? 10 years down the line I hope to still be pursing my acting career! I hope to have booked more films and other projects, and also hopefully work with more amazing actors!

What did you learn from taking on a challenging character as Lucy Diaz in Orange is the New Black? I have learned so much and had many takeaways while playing Lucy Diaz in Orange is the New Black. I was so young at the time when I booked this and it was one of my first acting jobs when I started in the industry! That being said, I really learned everything from what’s it like simply being on a set with a big production like this, to how to work well with adults at a young age, and many, many more! I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and growing up throughout the seasons of the show was an unforgettable experience.
