Emily Tosta is ready for new beginnings in 2021

Emily Tosta is coming hard in 2021, with essential things coming to film and television. She always knew that acting would be apart of her life.

“I knew I wanted to be an actress since I was a little girl. I’ve been acting professionally since I was 7 years old. I started out in musical theatre and then moved onto TV and Film. I have always had such a passion for stepping into the shoes of different characters, learning about them and telling their stories,” Tosta said.

She has already set the tone for herself as she is gearing up for her first motion picture and first lead in a movie “Willy’s Wonderland,” starring alongside Nicholas Cage.

“I felt so blessed and super excited and happy! Also, being able to play my first lead in a film opposite Nicholas Cage was such an incredible experience! I have

watched him since I was a little girl living in Dominican Republic (before I could even speak English! Haha),” Tosta said.

She embraced the fantastic experience and soaked up all the knowledge Cage left her with throughout the filming experience.

“It was such an honor and privilege to be able to work alongside an Oscar winning actor like Nicholas. It was such a fruitful experience where I learned so so much from him. He was always so kind and welcoming and constantly telling wonderful stories/lessons about life and the industry! It was a magical experience,” she said.

The film is a horror and action-packed film that shows a man (Cage) who decided to clean a family center but ends up battling possessed beings as he stuck inside Willy’s Wonderland.

Tosta emphasized how the script instantly caught her attention, which is why she knew this was something to be apart of for the long run.

“I had never done a project like this before, and I thought it was such a fun script since I first read it! The audience can expect to be at the edge of their seat! There

is mystery, survival, action, horror, and more! Excited for them to come with us on this adventure February 12th!” she said.

Not only is Emily starring in her first film, but she also has her hit FX show “Mayans M.C.,” which is about to premiere its third season on March 16, 2021.

“Season 3 is filled with rawness, reckoning, redemption, and more! I wish I could say more, but I know the audience is going to absolutely adore this season! They are not ready!! So much to come,” Tosta said.

Emily has genuinely started her year off strong as we all are coming from the aftermath of 2020, where she starred in her first lead role on the hit television show “Party of Five,” which got canceled after its first season. Tosta did not let that stop her because she was able to learn so many valuable things.

“Party of five will forever hold such a dear place in my heart. Not only because of the incredible cast and crew but also the meaningful story we were able to tell. We dealt with the cruel reality of immigration, deportation, and the separation of families that, sadly, affects and traumatizes a lot of people,” she said.

“I learned so much, not just from stepping into my first lead on a TV series but also from doing extensive research on immigration so we could be able to tell the story in the most authentic and informed way possible. Super bummed we weren’t able to continue breathing life into these characters but very happy that I left with an off-screen family and that we created such a beautiful project that is still available for everyone to watch!”

She shared the news of her up and coming project that she has worked on called “Tito,” which will leave fans speechless as she is the lead role and produces the film.

As for this new chapter she is enduring, she has made it known that the sky is the limit of her goals, dreams and community leadership.

“Can’t wait to continue my charity work with my family’s foundation that helps Venezuela and also many other charities that I work super closely with that are truly making huge impacts in the world,” she said.
