DNCE Performs on The Late Late Show

DNCE stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden last night November 24th to perform their hit song, “Cake By The Ocean.” The band consists of former Jonas Brothers member Joe Jonas, with JinJoo Lee on guitar, Jack Lawless on drums, and Cole Whittle on bass. According to the band, the concept for “Cake By The Ocean” came from working with Swedish producers that “kept confusing ’sex on the beach’ with ’cake by the ocean.’” Jonas, lead singer, continued. “Then, it became this kind of lyrically wacky song, and it kind of embodies the band. It’s funky, it’s fresh, I think it’s something that people can dance to.”

“Cake By The Ocean” can be found on the band’s debut EP titled SWAAY, which features three other tracks (“Pay My Rent,” “Jinx,” and “Toothbrush”)
