Bad Gyal Talks New EP “Sound System: The Final Releases” & More With Contrast News
Bad Gyal is proving herself as one of Spain’s leading urban artists. She released an EP titled “Sound System: The Final releases” with songs that she initially didn’t think would ever come out. “I’m so glad I decided to release this project…especially after getting such a great response from my fans,” she said. The EP ended up being positioned at the top of the national charts.
While creating music for about six years, Bad Gyal has achieved many of her goals. She has already performed in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America. She formed part of the Lollapalooza lineups in Chile and Argentina and the Barcelona Beach Festival in Spain and has also been featured in magazines such as V Magazine and Vogue.
Most recently, Bad Gyal was spotlighted as part of Spotify’s illustrative campaign: Equal, and her image graced the platform’s billboard in Times Square.
Bad Gyal has collaborated with artists such as Rauw Alejandro, Mariah Angeliq, and more. “I love creating music. I get super nervous when I’m recording, but I always have a good time,” she said.
Her love for fashion has also allowed her to grow in the fashion industry. In 2021, Bad Gyal presented her first fashion collection in the form of a capsule for Bershka. “I’ve always loved dressing up. My style depends on how I’m feeling that day. Sometimes I’m super girly or sporty… it just depends,” she said.
Whether focusing on music or fashion, Bad Gyal is all about women’s empowerment. She loves to make women feel good about themselves.
Bad Gyal is excited about her upcoming projects in 2022. “I have collaborations that I can’t say much about. And I am also performing in Brazil for the first time, which I am super excited for,” she said.
