Actor Lovell Adams-Gray Talks ‘Power Book II: Ghost, Love and More

Lovell Adams-Gray is an accomplished actor, hailing from the star-studded Toronto! Stars such as Drake, Justin Bieber, and Mike Myers also call the snowy temple home. However, their stellar reputations do not hinder Lovell in pursuing his dream. He intends on making his own stamp in Canadian culture, being among those great names aforementioned. Motioning into the States is giving him more room to go and more screens to grace.

He went to college, majoring in acting and taking his love for performing to the theater. Lovell was even nominated for the Canadian DORA award for his gripping performance in ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’. The actor feels fortunate to even have the experience in acting in the theatre adaptation. For the award, it came down to him and another thespian and though she was declared the winner, he felt validated by the recognition.

As a twist and welcome romance, he and fiancé Kiana Madeira, share the same love for acting. She has created a name for herself as star of the Netflix Original, Fear Street. Adams-Gray is proud to support her and gains inspiration by seeing another person chasing their dreams by his side. The two have a connection that goes beyond love for one another and goes into love for another’s careers. He would also recommend to anyone looking to cross borders for their acting career to just do it. It is a worthwhile experience and only helps their career with enough faith.

Lovell states he did not face many challenges in becoming Dru Tejada in Curtis Jackson’s, ‘Power Book II: Ghost’. He dives into each of his roles as opposed to becoming intimidated by the process. In the coming year, he is looking forward to a book adaption of a brand new movie he has been working on. Adams-Gray feels it is a beautiful, moving script and is excited to show it to the world.
